Pinnies is Closing it's Doors
With great sadness and a heavy heart, I have decided to closed the shop. My family and I have suffered two deep losses, and as you all know, family is the core of this business. I wish that I could explain how much these 8 years have meant to me, and how you all have impacted my life. I am deeply grateful to you, my customers, for continuing to support me through good times and now through bad. This has been the experience of a lifetime, one that I have loved and cherished. Thank you for making it so unforgettable. This isn't the end for Pinnies, I just need some time to heal and move forward. Please stick with us on social media - my family and I will be popping back up in the US, so keep us in your hearts and minds, and I hope we see you again when we turn the ovens back on. Until then, happy baking shortbread pals. xx Jen

The shortbread from this wonderful lady is delightful! Her caramel and peanut butter cup are a perfect 3 o'clock snack as they are die for! I can not recommended this charming shop more
When you come to Scotland and see shop after shop of whisky and tartans there is something you don't see--fresh made shortbread. Yes, there is Walkers in a tin but then we found Pinnies & Poppy Seeds on St. Mary's Street. Proof that butter does indeed make life just a little more enjoyable. All hail the queen of shortbread Jennifer!!
The most amazing shortbread! Bought some for my hubby when I was in Edinburgh this week and it's been devoured. Fabulously friendly staff
Honestly this place is everything an independent business should be. The products are amazing (I literally wolfed down 4 of the wonderful salted caramels I bought in a few minutes) and the service is impeccable. I was in buying some things as a gift and ended up coming back as what was on offer was SO much better than the surrounding shops. Such an excellent place, you would be a fool to miss it!
